OPTICA large

Designed by OPTICA French designer team, SCMP DESIGN OFFICE, out of respect for sake.

We wanted to create a glass that allows you to hold both hands on it and enjoy sake in a beautiful manner similar to the tea ceremony.
With this idea in mind, the bottom of the glass is weighted to create a balance that makes you want to support it with both hands. The mouth of the glass is wide open to allow the sake to flow into the mouth without an exaggerated tilt of the chin, creating a silhouette that allows for a naturally beautiful drinking gesture.
All of this is made with the highest quality techniques by glass craftsmen in Tokyo.

OPTICA" means "optics" and is derived from the optical lens of a camera, which was also the inspiration for the design.
It also expresses our hope that the reflection of light created by the transparent glass and sake will allow people to experience the delicate beauty of glass and the sparkle of sake.

It is also good to use it as a sake cup together with "OPTICA small".

When used as a beer glass, the aroma of hops bursts out from the large opening.

The glass is also suitable for use as a beer glass.
